Download the DIRECT mobile app or go to www.directb.net and login to access your account tools.

how do i deposit money into my direct account?

There are multiple ways you can deposit money into your account including:

  1. Direct deposit

  2. Transfer money (ACH) from another bank account

HOW DO I SET UP BANK (ACH) TRANSFERS? (4-8 BUSINESS DAYS)

To get started, you will need to verify your bank account, which can take 4-8 business days. It’s also important to note:

  • Any bank account you are wanting to transfer money to and/or from must have the same first name and last name as the DIRECT Account Cardholder.

  • Only one (1) external bank account can be connected and verified to your DIRECT Account at any time.

Login to the DIRECT Rewards mobile app, then follow these steps:

  1. Select “Move Money” then “Transfers.”

  2. Select “Add a New Bank Account” and enter the bank account information you would like to load from.

  3. DIRECT will send two (2) trial ACH Transfers to your bank account to verify it was entered correctly. Check your bank account after 2-5 days to find the trial transfers. When you find them, return to the DIRECT app or website and click on “Verify Funding Source”. Enter the trial transfer amounts in the two fields provided (the order does not matter).

Login to the DIRECT website, then follow these steps:

  1. Select “Move Money.”

  2. Select “Bank Transfer.”

  3. Select “Add or Remove Funding Sources” and enter the bank account information you would like to load from.

  4. DIRECT will send two (2) trial ACH Transfers to your bank account to verify it was entered correctly. Check your bank account after 2-5 days to find the trial transfers. When you find them, return to the DIRECT app or website and click on “Verify Funding Source”. Enter the trial transfer amounts in the two fields provided (the order does not matter).

Once you’ve successfully connected and verified your other external bank account, you will be able create transfers to load funds to your DIRECT Account from your external bank account using the DIRECT app or website.

HOW DO I TRANSFER MONEY to my direct account from another bank account? (3-5 BUSINESS DAYS)

Once you have a verified bank account connected to your DIRECT Account (see directions above on how to connect and verify), you will be able to complete transfers between accounts. These are ACH transfers and can take 3-5 business days.

Login to the DIRECT mobile app, then follow these steps:

  1. Select “Move Money” then “Transfers.”

  2. Select “Create transfer.”

  3. In the “From” field click the down arrow (drop-down menu) and select the account you want to pull the money from, and in the “To” field click the down arrow (drop-down menu) and select the account you want to deposit the money in, and in the “How much” field enter the dollar amount you would like to transfer.

  4. Once that information is completed, in the ‘How often” field select the transfer frequency.

  5. Verification of the amount and source will show, select “Transfer”.

Login to the DIRECT website, then follow these steps:

  1. Select “Move Money” then “Bank Transfer.”

  2. In the “From” field click the down arrow (drop-down menu) and select the account you want to pull the money from, and in the “To” field click the down arrow (drop-down menu) and select the account you want to deposit the money in, and in the “How much” field enter the dollar amount you would like to transfer.

  3. Once that information is completed, in the ‘How often” field select the transfer frequency.

  4. Select “Create Transfer”.

how do i setup direct deposit?

  1. Select “Move Money” then “Direct Deposit.”

  2. You will be able see the applicable bank routing number and your specific account number. You may provide this routing and account number to your employer or another person or entity that pays you. (You can also use this information to receive funds from the U.S. government, such as a tax return or Social Security.)

Login to the DIRECT website, then follow these steps:

  1. Select “Move Money” then “Direct Deposit.”

  2. You will be able see the applicable bank routing number and your specific account number. You may provide this routing and account number to your employer or another person or entity that pays you. (You can also use this information to receive funds from the U.S. government, such as a tax return or Social Security.)

  3. If preferred, you can print the Direct Deposit form provided.

can i deposit cash into my direct account?

At this time, we do not support the depositing of cash into DIRECT Accounts or onto DIRECT Cards.

how do i ACTIVATE MY CARD?

You can activate your card through the DIRECT mobile app, website, or by calling the number on the back of your card, 1-833-263-2826. Be sure to sign the back of your card so merchants can validate your identity when you sign for purchases.

how do i SET or change MY PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (PIN)?

You can easily set up or update your card-related PIN through the DIRECT mobile app, DIRECT website, or by calling the number on the back of your card, 1-833-263-2826.

  2. Select “Manage Card,” then

  3. Select “Change PIN” and follow the prompts to set and confirm your new PIN.

How do I check my balance?

You can check your balance any time on the Overview in the DIRECT mobile app or website. You can also call 1-833-263-2826 to hear your balance.

where can i use my DIRECT Card?

You can use the card to purchase goods and services everywhere Debit Mastercard is accepted. You can also withdraw cash using participating ATMs and use the card and/or routing and Account number to pay bills online or by phone, where accepted and secure.

can i use my DIRECT Card for pin purchases?

Yes. You can use the DIRECT Card for PIN purchases. If the merchant's terminal accepts PIN, choose the debit option and enter your PIN when prompted.

can i use my DIRECT Card for online purchases?

Yes, you can use your card number for online purchases. Please make sure that you enter the correct billing information, including your name and the address on file with DIRECT Card, or the transaction may be declined. Please note that the DIRECT Card cannot be used for online gambling.

can i use my DIRECT Card at an atm?

Yes, you can use your DIRECT Card and PIN to withdraw cash from participating ATMs.

What happens when I return something I bought with my DIRECT Card?

Any refund for goods or services purchased with the card will be made in the form of a credit to the card. While most merchants settle credits daily, when you see a credit to your balance may vary depending on the merchant. Ask the merchant when you should expect to see a credit. Typically, a credit from a return should reflect on your card balance within a few business days.

do i have the option to request overdrafts on my card?

No, the DIRECT Card does not allow purchases above your available spending balance.

do some merchants get authorization to charge more than the actual amount of a purchase?

As with any card program, when the DIRECT Card is used for certain kinds of transactions, the merchant accepting the card may request advance authorization for an estimated amount of the transaction. This is usually because the final purchase amount is not known at the time you present your card. For example:

  1. Gas Stations will accept the DIRECT Card to prepay for fuel inside the station, but "pay at the pump" purchases may be authorized for an amount greater than the gas purchase. Fuel purchases made at the merchant’s inside counter are most often authorized based upon the consumer’s desired final purchase amount.

  2. Restaurants, hotels, and car rental agencies may get authorization for an estimated purchase amount, rather than the actual purchase amount.

What is an Authorization Hold?

An “Authorization Hold” is a temporary hold on the funds available on your Card for the amount of that authorized transaction. An Authorization Hold generally will be released within 3 business days after the date the transaction is authorized. However, certain merchants, especially rental car companies, hotels and others that authorize high dollar amounts may cause an Authorization Hold to remain in effect for an extended period of time. You can see each Authorization Hold at any time by calling 1-833-263-2826 or logging in to the DIRECT mobile app or DIRECT website.

Certain transactions may be handled differently by certain merchants. If you are unsure of a merchant's policy, it is best to ask before using your DIRECT Card.

Will I receive statements FOR MY DIRECT Card?

Yes. After activating your card, you will receive monthly electronic statements, which you can access in the DIRECT mobile app or DIRECT website. These statements may be printed if paper copies are needed.

Note: this option will not show up until you have used the card for at least a month.

  2. Select “Manage Card” and then select “Statements.”

  3. Select the month of the statement you would like.

Login to the DIRECT website, then follow these steps:

  1. Select “Account” from the main menu, and then “Settings.”

  3. Using the drop-down arrow, select the month of the statement you would like and then select “View.”

Do I have to wait until I get a statement to see the transactions on my DIRECT Card?

No. Your the DIRECT mobile app and DIRECT website will provide you with up-to-date information on your transactions. You can also hear this information by calling 1-833-263-2826.

What is a “pending” transaction?

A pending transaction is one that has been authorized for a specific amount but has not been submitted for final settlement. The funds are still in your account but are reserved and cannot be used. Posted transactions have been submitted and cleared for payment to the merchant, and the amount of the transaction has been deducted from the funds available on your DIRECT Card.

Can I add my DIRECT Card to Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Google Pay?

Not yet, as those services are not currently supported.

Why do I need a text message to log in?

For security purposes, every device used to access your DIRECT Card and Account has to be registered. When a device isn’t recognized, you’ll get a text message with a code to register it (standard text message rates apply). If you do not receive the text message or would prefer not to receive one, you can call customer support at 1-833-263-2826 to get a verification code.

how do i order a replacement card?

The simplest way to order a replacement card is through the DIRECT mobile app. You can also order a replacement card by calling 1-833-263-2826. If you need a replacement card, we recommend you verify your transactions to ensure only your authorized transactions are noted. If your card has been used for unauthorized purchases, a customer service agent will be able to assist you with the dispute process.

How do I update my address?

You can update your address through the DIRECT mobile app by clicking on your “Profile Settings,” by logging on to the DIRECT website and selecting “Account” then “Settings”, or by calling 1-833-263-2826.

What do I do to speak to someone in customer support?

You can call 1-833-263-2826 and select the option for a customer support agent.

How do I lock/unlock my DIRECT Card?

You can lock and unlock your DIRECT Card through the DIRECT mobile app, DIRECT website, or calling , 1-833-263-2826. While your card is locked, it will be declined for any purchases. If you don’t see these options, it’s because your card hasn’t been activated.

Login to the DIRECT mobile app, then follow these steps:

  1. Select “Overview” and click the drop down arrow over the card image.

  2. Select “Lock Card” or “Unlock Card”, depending on current card status.

  3. Select “Lock Card” or “Unlock card”, depending on current card status.

What if my DIRECT Rewards Prepaid Card is lost or stolen?

If you believe that you have lost your DIRECT Card, you can “lock” the card right from the DIRECT mobile app or website. While your card is locked, it will be declined for any purchases. If you find your card, you can then just go back into the app and “unlock” the card to use the card normally. (See detailed directions above.)

If your DIRECT Card is permanently lost or stolen, you can report it lost/stolen in the DIRECT mobile app or website. Review your transaction history to make sure no unauthorized purchases were made. You can also call 1-833-263-2826 to file a report. If your card has been used for unauthorized purchases, a customer support agent will be able to assist you with the dispute process.

DIRECT Home Rewards


what are direct home rewards?

DIRECT Home Rewards is a promotional rewards program offered by Direct, Inc. DIRECT Home Rewards gives you the opportunity to achieve a savings of up to 10% of your Mortgage Loan amount over the Full Rewards Duration.

how do i qualify for direct home rewards?

The following qualifications must be met to be eligible for DIRECT Home Rewards:

  1. Establishing a DIRECT Card and DIRECT Account before your Mortgage Loan funds, and

  2. Closing and keeping current a new, qualifying Mortgage Loan with Directors Mortgage, and

  3. Making timely and regular monthly payments due and payable on your Mortgage Loan using your DIRECT Card or ACH payment with your DIRECT Account information, and

  4. Pay a monthly maintenance fee of $7.00, automatically deducted on the 20th of each month.

  5. Notifying DIRECT of any change in service for your Mortgage Loan promptly.

how does it work?

DIRECT will distribute substantially equal monthly installments (“Rewards Installment”) to you, as a credit deposited onto your DIRECT Card, or to your Mortgage Loan servicer in the sole discretion of Direct, Inc. To achieve the potential maximum promotional savings of up to 10% of your Mortgage Loan amount, the Rewards Installment shall be delivered to your Mortgage Loan servicer and applied to the Mortgage Loan principal monthly, above your regular monthly mortgage payment due, throughout the Full Rewards Duration.

how do i earn the maximum potential promotional savings?

To achieve the potential maximum promotional savings of up to 10% of your Mortgage Loan amount, the Rewards Installment shall be delivered to your Mortgage Loan servicer and applied to the Mortgage Loan principal monthly, above your regular monthly mortgage payment due, throughout the Full Rewards Duration.

By additional money being paid monthly toward the principal balance of your loan, this reduces the total principal and total interest paid over the life of your loan, which results in significant savings.

do direct home rewards ever go away?

The DIRECT Home Rewards will continue throughout the life of your loan established with Directors Mortgage, as long as you continue to qualify monthly by making your full mortgage payments on-time monthly using your DIRECT account.

You will no longer receive rewards if you don’t make your full mortgage payment, on-time monthly using your DIRECT account. For example, the following would be examples of when you would stop earning DIRECT Home Rewards:

  1. Pay your mortgage late or not at all.

  2. Pay off your mortgage loan.

  3. Refinance the loan with another mortgage lender.

HOw much is the savings?

With DIRECT Home Rewards, clients can save up to 10% of their Directors Mortgage home loan amount over the term of their loan. For example:

  • On a $400,000 home loan, the fully realized savings possible over the term of the loan would be $40,000 as a reduction in the amount of money on your Mortgage Loan that would have otherwise been due and payable.

  • On a $600,000 home loan, the fully realized savings possible over the term of the loan would be $60,000 as a reduction in the amount of money on your Mortgage Loan that would have otherwise been due and payable

how is the direct home rewards amount that is DEPOSITED ONTO MY DIRECT CARD calculated?

The Rewards Installment (the money deposited to your DIRECT account monthly) is calculated based upon your loan amount, loan term and loan interest rate (not APR) - to reach the goal of saving up to 10% of your loan amount if the Rewards Installment is paid each month, on-time toward your loan principal.

To achieve the fully realized savings of up to 10% of your loan amount, you must apply the Rewards Installment each month, on-time toward the principal of your loan above your normal mortgage payment over the term of the loan. If you do not apply the Rewards Installment each month, on-time toward the principal of your loan, you will not achieve the fully realized savings possible of up to 10% of your loan amount.

can i get direct home rewards with a mortgage from a different lender than directors mortgage?

No, DIRECT Home Rewards are currently only offered through a partnership established with Directors Mortgage.

is the Information i put into my account safe?

Yes. The technology supporting DIRECT Rewards Prepaid Card has passed PCI Level 1 compliance, uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.2 to secure any data transferred to or from pages where you submit or view personal information, and stored data is encrypted using AES 256 encryption.
